We mentioned yesterday that the pre-launch patch for Warlords of Draenor would be released this week, and to our surprise, it was made available today. But what we weren’t expecting was the massive update Blizzard issued to all World of Warcraft accounts.
To make the transition to the new Warlords of Draenor expansion as seamless as possible for current and returning players, all previous expansions have been added to all existing World of Warcraft accounts. This means that all current subscribers and anyone that reactivates their dormant subscription will automatically have all the content through Mists of Pandaria available to them. A pretty sweet deal if you haven’t played for awhile and don’t feel like dropping the coin to get up-to-date for Warlords of Draenor.
Today’s patch, 6.0.2 titled Iron Tide, has also added a slew of features to get players ready for the new expansions launch next month. The Iron Horde Incursion world event has been added, letting players journey to the Blasted Lands to face down the revamped five-player version of the Upper Blackrock Spire dungeon. The new character models have been added, revamping the game’s original races with increased resolution and animations while also making interface improvements to the quest log and inventory. All of this is topped off by several class changes that can be viewed in the official patch notes.
World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor can be pre-orderd now on Battle.net for its looming launch on November 13th.
