Amazing Deus Ex Scene Rendered in Unreal Engine 4 Gives a Taste of Things to Come

It’s still a bit difficult for most to gauge the potential of Unreal Engine 4, and some help comes from Wiktor Öhman, that posted a few work-in-progress screenshots of a scene from Deus Ex he’s remaking in the latest iteration of Epic Games’s engine.

As you can see from the screenshots in the gallery at the bottom of the post (they are in chronological order), it looks absolutely amazing.

If you’re interested in seeing how Öhman actually created the scene, you can get a glimpse of the process in a recording of one of his livestreams.

While we don’t yet know what engine will be used for the next Deus Ex game, Öhman’s work definitely gives us a taste of the future applications of Unreal Engine 4.
