American McGee Kicks Off His Alice: Otherlands Kickstarter With an Intriguing and Haunting Video

on July 16, 2013 4:14 PM

On the heels of American McGee’s cancelled OZombie campaign, comes his latest pet project, Alice Otherlands. And while I am disappointed that OZombie‘s fascinating concept won’t bear fruit for quite some time, the new Alice game is intriguing in its own right.

Alice: Otherlands is the third entry of the Alice trilogy, which finds a newly recuperated Alice wandering the streets of 1875 London. She now has the ability to step into the minds of others, and she’ll be doing just that. Alice will venture into and explore the innermost thoughts of the greats–Jules Verne, Jack the Ripper, Darwin, Queen Victoria and many French artists–in order to unravel the great secrets of London.

So far the campaign has raised over $40,000 with 19 days to go. If you would like to support the Kickstarter, go here to contribute.
