Steam has been known thousands of games of every variety, and given the surprising popularity of the Euro Truck Simulator series, it was only a matter of time until the great states of America's truck drivers were given their due with a game of their own.

The upcoming simulation game American Truck Simulator will officially be arriving to PC users on February 3rd, 2016, following a blog post from the developer SCS Software on the game's Steam forums.

SCS Software also detailed in the Steam forums page that while "this release will be just the first step on the road," the game's initial release will include "a couple of trucks and the state of California" with the base game release.

While it seems there won't be a ton of trucks and states just yet, California is (obviously) a lot of ground to cover, though SCS Software assured that "the base game release is only a fraction of our grand vision," with the studio aiming "to cover all of North America eventually" and to also provide more trucks from "every relevant truck manufacturer" in the future.

American Truck Simulator will release for PC on February 3rd, 2016.
