Anarchy Reigns Delay Shocks Developer

Sega announced a whopping fourth delay for action game Anarchy Reigns on Monday, surely shocking the games dwindling group of followers. According to developer Platinum Games, fans aren’t the only ones surprised by this move. Producer Atsushi Inaba took to Twitter to chime in.

Inaba-san expressed that the development team new nothing about this delay before the announcement and that they’re still ‘in the dark’ about it all. Platinum previously disclosed that development on international versions of the game is complete, which makes Sega’s actions seem very mysterious. He also says that there will be no difference in content between the Japanese and international versions.

Lastly, he issues a heartfelt apology on behalf of Platinum whilst noting that there is little they can do despite being the developers. Thank you, Platinum Games. It really does mean a lot compared to anything Sega could say at this point. Anarchy Reigns will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.
