Sega just sent a press release communicating a delay of Anarchy Reigns to a handful of release dates in July, a huge disappointment considering many people were eagerly awaiting the January release we had been promised before.
There is some good news though: the new dates (July 3rd in the US, July 5th in the Australia and July 6th in Europe) have been locked. They may be six months later, but that’s as long as we’ll have to wait. Which, considering we were originally supposed to have it this fall, is good to hear.
When asked why the second delay, Sega’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Gary Knight stated
I can’t reveal much now, but it’s something to do with scale. Let’s just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past…
