Andrew House: PS4 Launch Improved PS Vita Demand in the US, Rebuilding Enthusiasm for Games and Sony

Sony Computer Entertainment boss Andrew House is definitely satisfied about the initial performance of the PS4, but what about the PS Vita? Looks like things are going better on that front as well, as House told Le Figaro in an interview.

We’re rebuilding the enthusiasm for video games and Sony. Our portable console, the PS Vita, is more in demand in the US since the launch of the PS4, and the gaming experience will be better with Sony’s smartphones.

The Remote Play strategy seems to be bearing fruit. We’ll have to see just how bigger that demand is, of course, but it seems promising. Hopefully Sony will still push many Vita-specific games, without neglecting them to position it as a simple companion device for the PS4.
