As fall is quickly making the weather colder and the sky prettier, the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is coming up and a new familiar face is joining the ranks of Pikachu and other notable gaming icons this year, and that's none other than the infamous Angry Birds.

Macy's announced in an official press release that "Red" from the Angry Birds series will be joining the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade next month, with the irritated bird to represent Rovio's massively-popular mobile game series at the event, and to give a nice spotlight ahead of the upcoming film based on the games coming in May 2016.

The release revealed that the Red balloon will measure 45.5-feet tall, 29.7-feet wide by 44-feet long, with the bird to soar throughout the streets of Manhattan this year in one of the city's biggest celebrations of the fall season, as the parade's executive producer Amy Kule detailed in a statement:

"Angry Birds is a worldwide phenomenon and we are thrilled to have Red join the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon line-up this year, taking his place among some of the world’s most popular and recognizable characters. With his trademark angry look, but lovable personality, Red will protect his precious egg as he takes flight down the streets of Manhattan and into the hearts of millions of spectators lining the Parade route and tens of millions more watching from homes across the country.”

The 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on Thursday, November 26th, 2015 from 9am-12pm in New York City - in the meantime, you can check above for a sneak peek at Red's balloon form for the upcoming parade.
