Another Double Fine Kickstarter Update Discusses Massive Chalice’s Art Direction

on June 12, 2013 4:24 PM

Today’s latest Kickstarter update from Double Fine brings us some interesting commentary from art director Mark Hamer and project lead Brad about Massive Chalice‘s visual direction. The video discusses their initial reference images, some of their exploratory work and the current style of the game they’re finally settled on. They also mention the work contributed by freelance artist Peter Chan and concept artist Derek Brand.

The video includes some of Massive Chalice‘s pre-production artwork, which is absolutely fantastic. The whole commentary is worth watching since it gives us a great insight into their developmental process but you’ll have to clear some time for the video since it runs for about 45 minutes.
