Tim Conkling of developer Versus Evil showed off the launch trailer for strategic board game Antihero with the game releasing on Steam for PC and Mac this coming Monday, July 10. Antihero is strategic board game taking place in a gas-lit Victorian world. Players will need to use stealth, cunning and even assassination to create the strongest Thieves’ Guild in the city. The goal is to "recruit street urchins, hire thugs, start a gang, upgrade your guild, steal valuables, and then bribe, blackmail, and assassinate your way to victory." The game features multiple modes including a story-driven campaign, skirmish against AI, casual and ranked PvP multiplayer. You can invite friends to play asynchronously or play in a Live Match in which you can set up custom “House Rules” and tailor the game to your tastes. In the end, the player will want to take over the city’s businesses, estates, set up traps and steal before their opponents are able to do the same to you. No announcements have been made regarding the title coming to consoles, but if the trailer is anything to go by it should provide hours of strategy cunning and bliss for those willing to put in the time.
