Applications open for PAX East Boston Indie Showcase

One of my favorite parts of any PAX is its focus on indie games, and their willingness to present those low-budget games next to every other high-profile, AAA-class game on the show floor.  With the second PAX East right around the corner, their Boston Indie Showcase is now accepting submissions for games to be featured at the show. As long as the game in question is being made by a team in the Boston metro area, and has a team of fewer than 15 people, it could be selected for a free opportunity to show to thousands of convention-goers next March.

“Every industry needs its dreamers and risk takers.  People willing to roll the dice in order to bring us innovative new games deserve the spotlight,” said Robert Khoo of Penny Arcade.  “If we want to keep seeing surprising and original content, then as a community we have a responsibility to support them.  The Boston Indie Showcase is one way to show them a little love.”
