Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Digital Arrow have released a brand new trailer showcasing brand new footage from their game Aquanox: Deep Descent. The gameplay trailer is over thirteen minutes long, and includes some alpha footage of the game. You can check out the trailer at the bottom of this article.

In addition to the new trailer, the developer announced that the multiplayer beta will be playable starting today. The beta lasts from Friday April 28th, at 1pm EDT, to Monday May 1st, at 1pm EDT. It includes two game modes, Team Deathmatch and 4v4 Deathmatch, as well as two different maps to play on. If you are unable to match with a full lobby, the rest of the player slots will be filled with AI opponents or allies.

THQ Nordic stated that there was only a limited number of beta keys available, and as of this writing it seems that they have all been given away. The being said, the publisher stated that there will be many other beta tests in the future, so if you didn't get one now, you have a chance to join one soon.

Aquanox: Deep Descent is the latest game in the Aquanox series that started all the way back in 1996 with Archimedean Dynasty. Deep Descent was first unveiled at Gamescom in 2014, and was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter in 2015. Aquanox: Deep Descent will be released sometime later this year.
