2016 is only a few hours away at this point, and if you're in need of something to celebrate the New Year with, why not do it with some giant kangaroos?

The official YouTube channel for ARK: Survival Evolved revealed some new updates coming to the popular survival title in celebration of New Year's, with the biggest (literally and figuratively) being the addition of the Procoptodon, a prehistoric kangaroo that players can hop on during the festivities.

In addition to the game's newest creature being added, players can also view a giant New Year's Eve ball being dropped in-game to coincide with the new year, meaning you now have another ball you can watch drop to ring in the new year other than New York's.

ARK: Survival Evolved is currently available on PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One, with a PS4 release (and final build release) scheduled for 2016 - in the meantime, you can check out the new trailer with Procoptodon below:
