A plethora of new skins for Batman: Arkham Origins have been popping up across a few international retailers for the past few days, igniting speculation that the developers are going "skin crazy" like they did with the last game, 2011's Batman: Arkham City. Those who acquired all of Arkham City's skins should not look forward to adding them to their collection in Arkham Origins though, as it has been confirmed that it will be impossible.

Eric Holmes, Creative Director at Warner Bros. Montreal, confirmed to a fan via Twitter that Arkham City skins will not be accessible in the new game, due to it being constructed on an, "all new rig, isn't compatible with old one. For example, face rig is totally different."

Batman: Arkham Origins is being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on October 25th, 2013. A Vita version of the game, Batman: Arkham Origins – Blackgate, is also in development by Armature Studio and will be released on the same day.
