Assassin’s Creed Creator’s New Studio Announces Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

Back in 2013 the creator of the Assassin’s Creed franchise and former Ubisoft creative director, Patrice Désilets, founded a new studio named Panache Digital Games. Today that studio announced its first title, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.

Described as a “third person action-adventure survival episodic game” on the studio’s project page, the game will let “the player [sic] relive the greatest moments of mankind with a documentary twist.”

The game was announced at the Reboot Develop conference in Croatia along with a teaser video that went through major events in human history starting with the mapping of the human genome, going all the way back to five million years ago (about 600k years further back than the oldest found human ancestor).

It’s safe to say with five million years of human history available to draw from, these episodes could be about nearly anything, and be during any time period.

They have yet to say anything about what platforms the game will be coming to, or when, so we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled.

Surprisingly many people do not like to be told at length about many of these things so I've taken to you, the internet, to talk at, should you desire to listen.
