Assassin’s Creed has already hit it big lately with the release of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag late last month, put for those keeping tabs on your calendars, you can mark down late summer 2015 for another big AC fix.

A report on The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that 20th Century Fox, while announcing and confirming release dates for its next slate of films, has planned for its upcoming film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed to release on August 7th, 2015. Starring Michael Fassbender (Prometheus, Shame, 12 Years a Slave) in the lead role, the Assassin’s Creed film was originally targeting a release earlier in the summer, going from May to June 19th, but has now been confirmed for an August release date by 20th Century Fox. The new release date, however, leaves Assassin’s Creed in the late summer, where releases will be less crowded against the big summer blockbusters.

Assassin’s Creed will star Michael Fassbender and be released by 20th Century Fox in August 2015.
