Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington Trailer Reveals a Dreadful Alternate Reality

Now, this is what I call a rater radical plot twist. What if George Washington, possessed by a certain artifact (you all know what I’m talking about, don’t you?) decided to ditch his role as first President of the United States in favor of absolute monarchy, becoming an completely crazed and tyrannical ruler?

That’s the theme of the upcoming DLC series (that will be made of three episodes) for Assassin’s Creed III, announced at the Spike VGA last week. Here’s an official description for you:

Welcome to Assassin’s Creed III’s Tyranny of King Washington – a three-part DLC series exploring an alternate reality in which George Washington goes mad with unlimited power, foregoing Presidency to rule as tyrannical King. In this alternate world, Connor is and remains Ratonhnhaké:ton. Having never become an Assassin, he must endure new trials, acquiring the skills he’ll need to take down a possessed Washington and win freedom for his land once and for all.

Will using the beloved historical figure of George Washington in that way get some panties all bunched up? We’ll have to see about that, but below you can see the announcement trailer.
