Mark your calendars, ladies and gentlemen. The PlayStation Blog reported the release date for the upgraded version of Ubisoft’s former PlayStation Vita-exclusive title, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD. Arriving to PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network on Janurary 14th for a purchasing cost of $19.99.

Set in 1765 and 1780 New Orleans, you’ll play as Aveline de Grandpré, who is recruited to be an Assassin by an escaped slave. Liberation takes place during the tail end of the French and Indian War, up to the middle of the American Revolution. Aveline is the first female playable character from the Assassin’s Creed series.

Liberation HD will be receiving quite the upgrade for the launch onto PS3. Ubisoft has added 15 new missions that are specific to Aveline’s personas of being an assassin, a lady and a servant.

Here’s a few screenshots to look at and the announcement trailer.
