The trailer released for Assassin’s Creed Unity last week was made up of Alpha game footage, publisher Ubisoft said on Twitter.
When asked if the sneak peak shown was a cinematic piece, the official Twitter account replied that it was in fact alpha footage.
In-game, but ALPHA… which means it’s not final, we are still working on it.
When another fan asked if the game footage shown was indicative of how the final game would look, Ubisoft replied that the trailer showed what they hoped to achieve.
Fans have expressed doubts as to whether the final game will look like the trailer, citing examples of other games that have recieved graphical downgrades between the first footage shown and the final release.
