Earlier this year, one of gaming’s biggest myths was uncovered, literally and physically, when the infamous landfill where thousands of E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial Atari 2600 cartridges were discovered in the desert of New Mexico.

Following the discovery of the landfill earlier this year, the Xbox Entertainment Studio (now closed) went into production on a documentary behind the infamous myth, with the film chronicling the landfill’s famous story to debut on Xbox Live later this month.

Film director Zak Penn confirmed that Atari: Game Over will debut through Xbox Live on November 20th, 2014, with the film set to include footage from the uncovering of the landfill in addition to various interviews of those involved with the game’s development and making.

Atari: Game Over will premiere through Xbox Live on November 20th, 2014.
