Atelier Meruru Trailer and Gameplay Video are a Welcome Sight

Today Gust officially released a direct-feed trailer for Atelier Meruru that has been out in the wild for a couple weeks, albeit at low quality. This one is most certainly not low quality. Once you’ve seen the trailer below, you can hop right into a six-minute gameplay video that the developer also revealed today. This video shows off many standard gameplay mechanics, such as the item synthesis, world map exploration, battles and some dialog sequences.

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but I’m quite amazed at how Gust continues to improve in the quality of their titles. I’ve been a fan of their games for years – especially the Atelier and Ar Tonelico franchises – and there has been a boost in quality here recently in this HD generation of consoles. Just looking at the differences in animations and design quality between Atelier Rorona and Atelier Meruru is pretty awesome. Hit the break to check out both videos.
