During the a livestream from Tokyo, Gust Entertainment Division Head Keisuke Kikuchi made a surprise announcement.

2017 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Atelier series, and the Nagano-based JRPG developer intends to celebrate in style with a new game.

The project was teased with a trailer, that you can check out below. It doesn’t unfortunately show anything about the new game, as it’s just a sizzle reel of past atelier series, with the teaser right at the end.

The latest game in the Atelier series is Atelier Firis: Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey, released in November in Japan, and coming to the west next year. Looks like Atelier fans have something more to look forward to, even if details are scarce for the moment.
