Australia V. Left 4 Dead 2: Final Round

on October 22, 2009 3:40 PM

Today marks the day that the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) was supposed to rereview Valve’s zombie survival shooter Left 4 Dead 2. For a little background on the debacle you should check out the original claim, and then the appeal by Valve. It seems like the OFLC is very adamant in their rulings, because they once again refused classification for Left 4 Dead 2.

The review board stated that there was, “insufficient delineation between the depiction of general zombie figures and the human figures, as opposed to the clearly fictional ‘infected’ characters.” I guess in Australia, people look more like zombies? (Since it was approved everywhere else)

It looks like the Australian market will be receiving the watered down version of Left 4 Dead 2, that was changed in order to make the MA15+ rating.
