As 2017 has officially begun, one of the year's coolest traditions is about to begin again with the annual Awesome Games Done Quick 2017 marathon kicking the year off with amazing and mind-boggling speedruns.

Games Done Quick has released the full schedule for its upcoming Awesome Games Done Quick 2017 event, which will be running from Sunday, January 8th - Sunday, January 15th, 2017 and donations from the event to benefit the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

During the week, viewers will be treated to a wide variety of speedruns and competition from some of the world's best speedrunners, with titles for this year's event including games such as Ape Escape 2, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Borderlands 2, and many, many more throughout the week.

Originally started in 2010, the Games Done Quick speedrunning marathon group has brought together thousands of speedrunners and viewers to break speedrunning records for a good cause, with the group having raised over $8 million for charity across 14 speedrunning marathon events.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2017 will take place on Sunday, January 8th - January 15th, 2017 at the Washing Dulles Airport Hotel in Herndon, VA, while the event will be streamed live throughout the week on Games Done Quick's official Twitch channel.
