Released in the early parts of last year, the classic adventure sidescroller-inspired Axiom Verge released on PS4 and PC to great critical acclaim, and with the title on the way to release for PS Vita, two new platforms have also been added to expand the game's horizon beyond PC and PlayStation consoles.

Developer Thomas Happ announced that Axiom Verge will be coming to both Xbox One and Wii U, with developer Sickhead Games (who worked on the upcoming PS Vita version of the game) to work on the Xbox One version, while BlitWorks will handle development of the Wii U version of the game.

Happ explained that the release date for the Xbox One and Wii U versions aren't known at this time, but confirmed that both versions will release this year and "definitely after the Vita release." Happ also added that playable demos of each version will be shown at next month's PAX East 2016, and also explained that by then "we will also have more details to share about them."

Axiom Verge is currently available for PS4, PC, Mac, and Linux - the PS Vita version of the game is on the horizon, along with the Xbox One and Wii U versions of the game coming later this year.
