If you’ve any interest in side-scrolling indie games then joy to you – Axiom Verge is almost ready to release on the PS4.
As with any new game that about to release there are two questions that need to be answered: How much will it cost and when can I play it?
Tom Happ, the game’s sole developer (the guy even did the music himself, trooper) took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal the important dates and figures as well as details on the powerups that players will be able to utilize.
Axiom Verge has passed certification and will be available on the PlayStation Store from March 31st for the princely sum of $19.99.
Some of the new powerups include the Nova weapon which has an alternate fire mode to deal more damage in a greater area which is always a handy thing to have. Then there’s the glitch ray gun that alters the reality around the player, whether it be firing at an enemy and causing them to glitch and behave differently.
There’s also a brand new one that has never been seen before, not even by people who were invited to press events for the game. There’s no description offered by the one-man powerhouse, but there’s a nifty little GIF that you can see over at the PlayStation Blog.
Axiom Verge is also set to release on the PS Vita and Windows platform sometime after the PS4 release, but there’s no date set on either at the moment but we’ll keep you updated as and when more is known.
