Earlier today, VG247 listed on their site that the Warner Bros. German site had mistakenly published a supposed October 2010 date for the anticipated Batman: Arkham Asylum 2. I say mistakenly because Warner Bros. has just told VG247 that the October 2010 release listed on their German website isn’t true.
“The ;German web site tags Arkham Asylum 2 for October’ story is based on inaccurate information on the German Warner site,” says a representative in an email statement, as per VG247.
“That information was taken down a couple of hours ago, accordingly.
“We haven’t announced a release date for the sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum yet I’ll let you know as soon as we have news.”
Although there might be some truth to Arkham Asylum 2 not releasing in October, I am pretty sure that the game will release during that time-frame come this Fall. Yes, call be Captain Obvious, but this is a year for great releases. However, with the barrage of triple-A titles releasing this calendar year, I wouldn’t be surprised if Warner and Eidos decided to hold of until early 2011 for the game’s release.
Those of you who have yet to experience the first Arkham Asylum might want to grab hold of it and submerge yourselves in an overabundance of nonstop action and an engrossing storyline. Thinking about it, I’m tempted for another run-through just talking about it.
