Are you looking forward to the just-announced Batman: Arkham Knight game? If so, you better have either a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC because so far it's looking like PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers will be sitting this one out.

On the plus side, it means that this Batman title was built for current gen consoles and PC from the ground up... and that's exciting.

Press releases have yet to be sent to media outlets, but one has since been published on BusinessWire. According to the release, "Arkham Asylum and Batman™: Arkham City. Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC."

This doesn't mean that last gen ports are absolutely out of the question at this point, but considering this is RockSteady's and Warner Bros.' first official communication about the upcoming finale to the Arkham series, I think it's a done deal.

If you want to finish the Arkham series and have yet to take the plunge into current gen... it's time to start saving. In the meantime enjoy the Batmobile and adrenaline fueled trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight below.
