Last month, the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within released, debuting the second season of Telltale's collaboration with DC Entertainment. Today, Telltale Games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and DC Entertainment announced that the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series has been made available for free on iOS devices.

In the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series, titled Realm of Shadows, Bruce Wayne discovers that his father was a powerful criminal, resulting in a personal crisis both for the man and for the Bat.

Along with this exciting announcement, the team behind the Batman series also announced that a free performance update has been released to provide "significant technical improvements" so that the title operates more smoothly across a wider range of iOS devices.

Batman: The Telltale Series is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Android, and iOS. You can now download the first episode of the series for free on the App Store. The first episode is expected to remain free on the iOS platform "in perpetuity."

Recently, Nintendo of America announced that both Telltale Games' Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy would be coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future.
