With Battle: Los Angeles hitting movie theaters next week, Konami and Saber Games have announced that a game of the same name will be releasing for XBLA, PSN and PC based on the alien invasion movie (is that supposed to be a spoiler? It's all over the trailers so screw it.) Along with the announcement, they've released four screenshots from the game, and while they look pretty good one thing is for sure; this game is VERY dusty. Is this Los Angeles or Las Vegas?

“KONAMI jumped at the opportunity to team up with Columbia Pictures and publish the Battle: Los Angeles video game,” said Careen Yapp, Vice President of Acquisitions and Franchise Development Konami Digital Entertainment. “We love the movie and it was a great experience working with Saber – there were some great ideas about how to expand the story into a game. It’s a great chance for gamers and moviegoers to play out the world of the film.”

The game is a first person shooter featuring all sorts of goodies and things that go "boom" as those games typically do, as well as destructible environments utilyzing the Havok Destruction Module. The movie hits theaters next Friday, March 11th, so I'm sure you can expect the game to launching shortly before or after that though no official date has been given at this time. Check out the other screenshots after the break.
