The newest update to Battlefield 1 will be arriving at some point next week. The news comes from the the Battlefield Twitter account which showed off an image revealing the new update's arrival. No other details were given on what the update might include, but we do have some educated guesses. Players have been asking for the ability to vote on the next map for quite some time and that seems like something that should be added in this new update. There also is expected to be an increase to the maximum level for each class in the game. Again though, these are just some predictions so don't take any of them as truth just yet. This new winter update releases just a little bit before the game's first expansion entitled They Shall Not Pass. This expansion is scheduled to release at some point in March and will include a litany of new additions. Four new maps will be included in the expansion as well as the inclusion of a new game mode called Frontlines. Plus, players will now be able to play as soldiers from the French army while also earning new melee and main weapons. If you own the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass then you'll be able to gain access to this new expansion two weeks early. While details are still hazy for next week's winter update, it's expected to be quite a hefty upgrade to the game. If you've been out of the loop with Battlefield 1 multiplayer for a while, then next week may be a good time to jump back in.
