Despite a high-profile delay setting its release from last fall back to this spring, Battlefield: Hardline still nonetheless has been off to an incredible start, with new stats from developer Visceral Games on the heels of the game’s popular beta.
In a tweet sent out by Visceral Games’ Steve Papoutsis, currently Executive Producer on Battlefield: Hardline, Papoutsis detailed that the beta of the upcoming Battlefield title featured a massive amount of players, with over five million served throughout the game’s open beta.
Starting from last Tuesday, February 3rd and having ended today, February 8th, Battlefield: Hardline‘s five million player-figure surpasses the high point beta for Destiny last year, which tallied a total of 4.6 million players – however, Hardline did have the advantage of being on PC comparatively.
Battlefield: Hardline will release for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 17th, 2015.
