The first PlayStation took Japan by storm in 1994, and since then the PlayStation brand has remained in the heart of many Japanese gamers. But what are the games that got them hooked?

The prominent research firm Goo Ranking held a survey to see which are the original PlayStation games that remained in the hearts of the Japanese.

Predictably, Final Fantasy VII is at the top, but there are many masterpiece of our adolescence/childhood mixed in the list, alongside quite a few games that are probably unknown to most western gamers.

The poll is the aggregation of the results of a questionnaire by Research Plus. 500 respondents (250 men and 250 women) participated between April 7th and April 10th.
