Best Buy Cancels Pre-orders for Limited Edition Majora’s Mask Goods

If you pre-ordered either the Majora’s Mask edition of the New Nintendo 3DS or the limited edition of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D from Best Buy, you might want to check your email.

The retailer is cancelling pre-orders for both items. Pre-orders of the handheld have been being cancelled since last week, with $50 in store credit being given to those affected. While that is a nice consolation prize, that credit plus the initial MSRP of $200 still wouldn’t be enough to cover one of the cheapest Majora’s Mask consoles from eBay, where they have been selling for as high as a grand.

Users are today reporting cancellations of pre-orders for the game’s limited edition from Best Buy. There appears to be no consolation being offered to victims of these cancellations, a shame given that the LE is also┬áselling well above MSRP on the scalper’s market.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D launches on February 13th.
