Bethesda Officially Announces Dishonored

on July 7, 2011 12:00 PM

Bethesda issued a press release today officially revealing their upcoming first-person action game Dishonored.

The game, to be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012 is developed by Arkane Studios, a french software house recently acquired by ZenyMax and mostly known for the 2002 first-person RPG Arx Fatalis.

The game promises a look into a dark, immersive world and a lot of freform gameplay, thanks to the presence in the team of Harvey Smith (that worked on Wing Commander, Deus Ex and Thief: Deadly Shadows between others) and Viktor Antonov (one of the designers behind the concept art of Half Life 2).

Further details will be provided on the August issue of Game Informer.
