With teases from Michel Ancel’s instagram whetting people’s appetite, Ubisoft recently confirmed that a new Beyond Good and Evil is actually, officially in production. A Facebook post on the game’s official page shared the news along with a few small details: Michel Ancel will working on the game with the Montpellier Studio.

As an added bonus, the original Beyond Good and Evil will be free on PC starting on October 12th. There are a few hoops you have to jump through to get the offer though. You have to sign up to ‘Ubisoft Club‘ with your Uplay account and you can download the game from the site. It’s a direct file and doesn’t come with a Steam code.

As with the older (and even older) teases of Beyond Good and Evil 2, little is known about the title aside from what can be guessed from the concept art. Here’s hoping the next reveal will actually shed some light on the title rather than just reminding us that, yes, it still is in production.
