Beyond Good & Evil HD Remake in the Works at Ubisoft

While we’ve heard rumors about a sequel to the critical success Beyond Good & Evil, we haven’t really heard many details in the two years since it was revealed that it was in development. However, Ubisoft definitely hasn’t forgotten the franchise, and perhaps this new announcement will give fans something to bridge the gap until more information is revealed about the sequel at some future point in time.

Ubisoft announced that they are in the process of remaking Beyond Good & Evil – in full HD, 1080p glory – for release on both the PSN and XBLA. It will come packed full of higher resolution textures, a remastered soundtrack, as well as trophies and achievements. I personally never got the chance to play this title when it originally release, but have grown interested in checking it out in the last couple years, so this is a great opportunity to do that.

As if the news of an HD remake of this classic title wasn’t enough info for you today, we have some screenshots of what the game looks like in HD. Unfortunately, they aren’t HD-quality images, but I’m sure you can get a pretty good idea of the improved graphical quality. Knock yourself out after the break.
