Watch on March 19th for Big News on World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

on February 10, 2012 12:15 PM

Yesterday Activision Blizzard had its quarterly results earnings call and Blizzard’s President Mike Morhaime had a tidbit of juicy information to share on the upcoming expansion Mists of Pandaria: global press is being invited to visit the developer for a hands-on with the expansion next month.

The embargo on the impressions of those fortunate enough to attend will drop on March the 19th, so you can expect a lot of news on Pandaria coming that day.

On the other end of the spectrum, the total user base of World of Warcraft is now settled on 10.2 millions, bleeding another 100,000 from what was announced on the last earnings call, despite the success of the yearly pass, that managed to earn Blizzard the souls of over one million players  for the whole year.

Update:  we apologize for any misunderstanding that may have been unintentionally created by the initial headline “Big News on World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Will Come on March the 19th”. Obviously the news are coming on March the 19th, not the expansion itself.
