Yesterday, Austrian publisher THQ Nordic and newly formed developer Experiment 101 — a studio comprised of ex Just Cause and Mad Max developers — officially revealed after a series of leaks a new IP called BioMutant, a post-apocalyptic kung-fu action RPG that stars an anthropomorphic raccoon looking thing.

Accompanying the announcement was a reveal of a collector's edition, the first few details about the game, and a debut CGI trailer. At the time, some criticism was hurled towards THQ Nordic for the lack of gameplay showcased for the announcement. But now a day later -- said gameplay footage has arrived.

The new trailer is a brief one minute and 15 seconds long, but does show off a variety of things about the game, including: its merging of melee, shooting, and mutant ability action, character progression, exploration of the game's colorful worlds, different traversing methods (air, land, water),  its character and mutation system, creative item crafting, a few different characters, and more.

BioMutant is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is slated to release sometime in 2018. Currently, the game is at THQ Nordic’s booth at Gamescom 2017  this week. It will also be at PAX West in Seattle next month.
