After a brief look at last year’s E3 2014 and not much else, Bioware’s work on the Mass Effect series has been pretty quiet, but new details that have emerged may show that online multiplayer will once again play a big role in the development of the next title.
In a job listing tweeted by Bioware senior development director Chris Wynn, details showed the listing specifically sought out “an excellent Producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect,” following the introduction of co-op based online multiplayer in 2012’s Mass Effect 3.
Details on what the multiplayer experience will be comprised of are still scarce at the moment, but the job listing (translated from French) details that the producer role will “create and champion the vision of the multi-player, connected experiences and online features of the game which respects the project leadership goals and be accountable for the quality targets and the results achieved.”
EA and Bioware are currently in development of a new Mass Effect title – stay tuned for more details as news develops.
