NIS America has revealed that Birthdays: The Beginning will get a delay in North America and Europe. Originally, the game was set to release in March 2017, now, the publisher revealed the new release dates to be May 9 in North America and May 12 in Europe for PlayStation 4 and Steam.

However, there isn’t an explanation for the delay, but one could assume the team over at Toybox Inc to use the time make the product they want to ship.

Birthdays: The Beginning is life-simulator that allows players to manipulate the level of land in a cubelike world. This will change the temperature and give life to various creatures who will evolve over time. Additionally, there is also a story campaign where players play as a character who discovers a map to the strange universe.

If you’d like to know more about Birthdays: The Beginning, DualShockers had the opportunity to sit down with creator Yasuhiro Wada and discus his unique new game.
