Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss have a lot of content incoming for Black Desert Online players, and the first two elements are class awakenings and Part 2 of the Valencia expansion, that will expand the game's already enormous map further east and will add new features.

At Gamescom, DualShockers had a chat with the game's Marketing Manager Rick van Beem, who gave us more color on when we'll be able to enjoy the new content.

Both the first awakening and Valencia Part 2 are currently planned for the end of August, even if Van Beem was very clear in mentioning that plans are susceptible to change in case something unforeseen happens.

Awakenings will actually be rolled out one by one, with the first (warrior), releasing on August 31st. The roll-out for the other classes will be much faster than in Korea, on a weekly or bi-weekly pace.

Last, but not least, the Margoria expansion (which includes a giant ocean area, a new trade port and naval and underwater content) will come "hopefully" before the end of the year. The team is "relatively sure" that it'll come by the end of the year, and Van Beem's hope is for November, even if he is not able to make promises.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, Awakening weapons are alternate weapons given to each class at endgame levels in order to close gaps in their skill sets and make their play style more varied.
