Kakao Games announced with a press release that the ocean expansion for Black Desert Online that was released today in Korea will come west in the fourth quarter of this year.

The expansion comes packed with a giant ocean area, sea trading and naval combat, underwater exploration, the tip of a new northern continent featuring a trade port, and sea monsters.

The fact that the western release is quite far away should not surprise, considering that there are still two relevant content updates the western servers need to catch up on. The first is class awakenings, that will be showcased at Gamescom together with this naval expansion, the second is Valencia Part II, that will expand the game further east in the Valencia region.
