Square Enix Collective released a new trailer for the puzzle-platformer Black The Fall, available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The trailer allows players to get a quick preview of the puzzles that are awaiting them throughout the game's campaign, which is set in a communist dystopia. Players assume the role of Black as he attempts escape the life he's been dealt and make it out alive.

Black the Fall was first revealed in 2014 as part of the Square Enix Collective program. After a successful KickStarter and development, the game is finally launching for players and backers to experience.

“With Black The Fall we really want to capture the feeling of what it was like to live in the communist state, and have been inspired by the first-hand experiences of our families. The world Black lives in might be fictional, but the system trying to beat him down is as bleak and oppressive as it has been in many countries around the world,” reveals Cristian Diaconescu, Creative Director at the Bucharest-based Sand Sailor Studio.

DualShockers was able to review Black the Fall and thought that it handled the atmospheric 2D adventure formula well, but added little to the genre.
