NCSoft announced today with a press release that its MMORPG Blade & Soul will finally release in North America and Europe on January 19th.

The headstart period will begin on all those who purchased a Founder’s pack on January 15th, but those who got a Disciple or Master pack will get in even earlier, on January 11th.

Launch content will include seven classes, thirty dungeons, a character level cap of 45, and the 1v1 PvP Arena.

Speaking of the Arena, NCsoft plans to have an e-sport scene in the west, with pre-season rankings starting soon after launch. Winners will get a chance to participate to the World Championship in Korea in 2016.

NCSoft West Senior Director of Marketing Tim Granich accompanied the press release with a statement:

“This is a big day for us, as we’re able to share the official launch date of Blade & Soul for all Western players. We’ve already had tens of thousands of players in our first two closed beta weekends, and look forward to welcoming many more beginning with the next beta weekend on November 24th and all the way through launch.”
