Today fighting games developer extraordinaire Arc System Works opened a new teaser website for a new game titled BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War.

The site comes with dark graphics and a foreboding music, but it includes no information on the upcoming game besides the platforms.

And there's where there will be some gnashing of teeth, because apparently BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War is for iOS and Android.

Nothing else has been revealed, and going to look into the source code of the page also offers no more insight, so we'll have to wait and see what the game is all about. The only hint is a logo of Gen, a Japanese mobile game developer that is likely to be working on the project in some capacity.

Luckily, this isn't the only BlazBlue game announced by Arc System Works recently, and console gamers will be able to find confort in the recently-announced BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, which surprised everyone at EVO 2017 showcasing a crossover between  BlazBlue: CentralFiction itself, Persona 4: Arena, French Bread’s Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st], and Monty Oum’s RWBY.

Considering the character-centric nature of the BlazBlue franchise, I'd be absolutely surprised if Dark War wasn't a gacha-driven game, but this is just my speculation.
