Today, developer Inti Creates and publisher 505 Games released a new E3 2017 trailer for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
For those that don't know: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an upcoming action-adventure game led by former Catlevania series legendary producer, Koji Igarashi. The game is considered a spirtual successor to the Castelvania series, and is expected to hit PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Mac, PC, Linux, and PS Vita sometime in 2018 (with the latter version being developed by Armature Studio).
Iga first conceived the game after his departure from Konami, prompted by countless fan request to return to the Metroidvania formula. Shortly after his depature, Iga and Inti Creates launched a Kickstarter to demonstrate the demand of the game to potential publishers and funding agencies in May-June 2015. The campaign had a goal of $500,000, which it smashed: raising $5.5 million USD, making it the most funded video game on the crowdfunding platform until it was surpassed by Shenmue III only a month later.
All of that being said, today 505 Games released a new one minute and 18 second long trailer that shows off more new gameplay footage of the game. You can view said footage for yourself below.
It's currently unclear how much Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will cost when it launches.
