Gearbox Software's CEO Randy Pitchford and Nintendo have been talking... well, they were talking. When asked by a prospective Switch purchaser whether Nintendo Switch would be getting the much anticipated Borderlands 3, Randy responded that he does "not see that as happening."

On the bright side for Nintendo hopefuls, this doesn't mean that Borderlands is entirely out of the question. According to the same line of tweets, Randy noted that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was able to run on the Nvidia Shield so "why not?"

Why talks would fall through is a mystery to all -- the main lobbied complaint for the Nintendo Switch is the current anemic launch lineup, with a equally sparse first year (assuming nothing further is announced at E3 or the countless other conferences/directs). Meanwhile, I'll keep my fingers crossed that Tales of the Borderlands makes the "switch" -- but that is just personal preference. Nintendo Switch releases worldwide on March 3, 2017.
