Indie developer Dark Screen Games has launched its Fig fundraising campaign for Bounty Battles, "the indie fighting game," which features characters from indie titles such as Darkest Dungeon, Awesomenauts, and Guacamelee.

You can check out the trailer for the game below.

The campaign currently has 179 backers and has raised $14,315, 47% of its goal of $30,000. With a deadline of August 22, the game is on track to meet its crowdfunding goal.

The title includes 48 heroes, including 20 from various indie games. New indie characters will be designed and added to the game as free DLC if the game meets its goal. Bounty Battle distinguishes itself from other brawler titles by including an energy gauge that must be managed alongside health. As such, certain combos can be achieved depending on whether or not the player has conserved enough energy.

The game does not support micro-transactions; however, the in-game currency aptly titled "bounty points" is generated based on how uniquely a player fights, and on how well they do in a given match. This currency can be spent during a match to summon a minion to aid you in your battle. These minions are destroyed upon a player's death. The game also features a story mode with multiple endings.

Pending its fundraising, Bounty Battle will hopefully be coming to Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
