We may have been used to seeing Square Enix bringing Call of Duty games to Japan, but this time Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia and Microsoft have decided to take matters partly into their own hands, and collaborate directly with Activision Publishing to bring Call of Duty: Black Ops III for the PS4/PS3 and for Xbox One/Xbox 360 respectively in the archipelago on the rising sun.

According to two separate press releases from the local branches of Sony and Microsoft, the game will release on November 6th for PS4 and Xbox One while details on the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases will come at a later date.

Sony will also host a PS4 multiplayer beta from August 19th to August 23rd, while Microsoft will hold its own on Xbox One from August 26th to August 30th.

The PS4 version will cost 7,900 yen plus taxes for the standard edition (both in digital download and at retail), while the special digital edition will cost  11,000 yen plus taxes. The Xbox One version will only come with a standard edition for the same 7,900 yen plus taxes.
